Skoda Octavia RS – fast and discreet liftback with an LPG system

Skoda Octavia is one of the most popular cars on polish roads. Comfortable, practical, working both as company and/or family cars. The exception is the RS model, which can arouse respect on the street and will provide the driver with sporty emotions. Can we add an LPG system to such a discreet liftback and enjoy cheaper refueling? Let’s check.

 

LPG installation for direct injection engine

LPG system for an engine with direct gasoline injection is currently a very popular and mature solution on the autogas market. The dedicated ALEX IDEA set is the answer to the needs of such an engine. It is a LPG system for modern engines with the lowest share of petrol on the market! It consumes only 5-15% of gasoline, while competing installations of this type require additional injection of almost 20-30% of gasoline.

> Adaptive reducer SHARK BFE ADAPT

A real favorite of LPG installers. An unusual reducer, which instead of keeping the gas pressure at a constant level (traditionally), it adapts itself to the engine load! We get an increase in the efficiency of the entire gas installation :-). An example in practice? We want to dynamically overtake the car – press the gas pedal to the floor, and the SHARK BFE ADAPT reducer responds to a sudden increase in load and increases the gas pressure. Thanks to this, it can “process” more LPG fuel, and the injectors can deliver this turbo dose further. Thanks to this we can go on LPG throughout the acceleration process, without switching to petrol. Therefore, in turbocharged or more powerful engines, such an adaptive reducer is a condition for the proper operation of the entire gas system.
 
 

> High performance injectors Barracuda 120Nl

It’s a simple matter. Having a mega efficient gas reducer, we need equally efficient gas injectors. Such as LPG Barracuda injectors with increased efficiency of 120Nl/min. > Effective LPG treatment only with Ultra360° filter

We have no influence on the quality of LPG fuel, but we have an influence on which gas filter will be installed in our car. And the volatile phase gas filter is the part that is not worth saving on. Why? The gas filter is directly responsible for the quality of the fuel supplied straightway to the engine compartment. Moreover, it protects the most expensive parts of LPG installations – the controller and gas injectors – against damages.

Effective protection against impurities appearing in LPG is guaranteed by the Ultra360° filter. It does not look like a standard can gas filter, not without a reason – because it cleans gas in step by step – much more effectively 😉. The gas introduced into the filter is rotated and directed down the body. Along the way (thanks to the vortex movement, the effect of centrifugal force and the force of inertia), solid particles and liquid oily fractions that are in the gas are centrifuged and retained at the bottom.
